Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Best pizza!!! Miss this place. Not sure what they do to the dough but it is perfect! I like whatever is on special and the white pizzas!! Service could be a little better though. There is this young blonde girl that is a monster. One time she yelled at my grandmother. Snotty brat. Everyone else is nice though. I do also wish the served some kind of hard lemonade or something. I don't do beer and that's all they have.

Good crust. Lots of fresh cheddar cheese and toppings. Just what you want in a pizza.

Stopped in for test-bite (as I always need to find a good source of pizza where ever I may be). Asked for two slices and a Switchback. I would judge it as average-tasting. I had two plain slices, to test the flavor and texture of the crust. The establishment was busy and appeared clean. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Men's room was clean and functional. Need to try some other pizza places around here...

Always good, some of the best pizza around. I usually get a Stromboli and it's one the best I've ever had.

Pretty good pizza, great grinders and a superb little restaurant in the Hannaford plaza. I've always got great service here and I usually get take out. It's got plenty of booth seating indoors. The calzones are also excellent here, highly recommended. I wouldn't call it the best pizza in town but it has been always on the spot for taste, quality and consistency. It is a bit pricer than most but you get a heck of a lot of food for what you pay.

Stopped there for lunch, I had the italian meat sandwich and my mom had the outer sprout, both of use were highly disappointed.. they just weren't very good and it was mostly bread, hardly anything inside the sandwich. For $6 each sandwich we wish we had gone to burger king instead, or chinese Lucky Buffet. Very disappointed with the below-standard sandwiches.

One of the best pizzas in Vermont! Brick oven deliciousness! Staff is attentive and friendly. There are literally three pizza joints closer to home but Pie In the Sky is worth the trip! Meatball subs, Philly cheesesteaks are delicious as well!

Very good casual food. The staff was very pleasant and attentive (even during a very busy lunch time). The food was delicious. It is located in a shopping center and would be overlooked by travelers (we were heading from Canada to Burlington) but we would recommend stopping for a quick bite. The white pizza with apples and cheddar was tasty. The BLT was fresh and the bread was good.

So far our favorite pizza place in St. Albans for multiple reasons. The staff is consistently awesome. My daughter always gets a black olive and cheese pizza. When we order it by the slice they cut it up in kid sized bites which is awesome!! The gluten free pizza is the best I have tried in town...not the best I have tried...but the best available in St. Albans that I didn't have to make myself. Back when I was eating gluten I loved the outer sprout sandwich. I am happy that they have a gluten free option...no complaints...but I miss the outer sprout! Pie in the Sky is also my husband's favorite pizza spot in town. No complaints from him EVER about eating here! My daughter is thrilled when she is allowed to go up to the counter and pay. Makes her day! Creemees are decent too!!

HOLY SMOKES!!! I've eaten at American Flatbread here in Virginia and we decided to try one while we were up in Vermont. I just don't get it, I guess. This place on the other hand absolutely ROCKS!!! Our server was awesome. Constantly checking on us, offering ideas for the kids, very friendly. The pizza came out quickly and tasted great. I was dubious when we were told one pizza was enough for the 4 of us, so I didn't order a second one. Our server was almost right -- I was pretty hunger so I needed an extra slice. I chose pepperoni, sausage and mushroom. One of the best slices I've had. EVER. The mushrooms were amazing. Piled high on the slice and a little smokey. Really, really good. Then we had the soft serve ice cream. I mean "Creemmee". So much for so little and the candied walnuts on top of the maple/vanilla swirl were off the hook. We loved our trip to Vermont and would be tempted to stay a little further north next time so we could come here a couple times. The place is nothing to look at -- kind of old school booths with a low rent strip mall feel, but probably our favorite meal in Vermont. The only complaint, and not one worth even 1/2 a star is the beer selection wasn't great. Otherwise, perfect.

I have had several random times where I had had pie in the sky: Only twice have I sat down and stayed for a meal here. The first time it was with my mom and we both got sandwiches. We both thought it was good. The other time before work my SO, a friend and I came for lunch before work and I got a ham and cheese sandwich, my SO got a calzone; he liked it but it wasn't as good as mimmo's or zachery's calzones. My friend got a chef salad and was happy with that. Had some of the pizza here when my job ordered a ton of pizza for everyone. It was really good and in my opinion, it was on par with mimmos. I got a salad once here also, I had a huge craving for a chef salad. It really hit the spot, everything was fresh and good. A little on the small size (for the price) but that was probably because I got it to go and they filled up the container as much as it could possible be filled. No points off for that, just a little disappointed. Next time i go with a salad in mind and sit in maybe I'll have a better idea on size vs pricing. All and all I'm looking forwards to the next time I go!

Outer sprout you spin me right round, baby right round, like a salad baby...in a roll that's round round. Whatever, Pie in the Sky kicks some major Italmerican food booty. Mostly, though, I go here for the outer sprout...and I may have developed a slight addiction. Imagine all the wonders of health that is your traditional salad....heat up your ingredients, add some flavored olive oil and a few cheeses, then stuff it into a toasted bread roll. I'm sure my description of this little bit of glory is somewhere between WTF and Huh-ville, but trust me, it is a good time on a plate. Consumption of the outer sprout is known to cause happiness, dancing, and evil jealous glances from your co-workers. Also, the pizza here is good by the slice even though the sauce could use a little more punch. Um, I'll finish this later.

There is no pizza in the area that tops Pie in the Sky. I've been a customer since the 1990s. My three-year-old son used to take great pleasure in going to the counter and ordering a cheese pizza with "murmurs" and "gingerado" and have the kitchen staff know exactly what he wanted. (Mushrooms and gingerale). We stuck with them when they moved from the crowded little shop they were in to the much dual-room establishment they're in now. Quality has never diminished. For the most part, the menu's stayed the same. They're very good at what they do and don't feel the need to change with the trends. I highly recommend the St. Albans pie. Sausage, Granny Smith apples, and cheddar. Also, don't overlook the pie of the month. Of all of them, the seafood is a family favorite with the harvest veggie taking a close second. Also, if you have room, which is tough, their minestrone is the best I've ever had.

Upon entry, I was hesitant to believe the hype of "the best pizza around." The vibe and setup made me think that this was the dining area of a roller skating rink, for some reason. It was super busy on a Saturday afternoon, as expected, but the servers were sweet and handled the crowd well. We opted for the margherita pizza. I'm very confident when I say that this was the best pizza I've ever had anywhere. EVER. A true test for me was whether it was edible reheated the next day and it was unexpectedly even more delicious. Well played, Vermont pizza.

Margarita pizza is refreshing. Lots of fresh garlic on everything. Outer sprout is a great way to mix it up if you are looking for something other than pizza.

Very good pizza, generous size salads, courteous service and reasonable prices. I'll be back.

Upon coming back to the area the first thing I did was refresh myself on the local pizza offerings - in the past my go to was Mimmos. It used to be that their pies were fresh, simple and delicious, maybe I've changed, but more likely they've let their quality slip - after more than a handful of disappointing pies I decided I'd try Pie the Sky, which i remembered from my teen years as being not that spectacular. I was wrong... while the atmosphere is not that great, the pizza is no joke fantastic. Hand tossed, fresh, well balanced. Great job.

Came here with a decent sized group. We got an assortment of pizza, spagetti, and subs. Everything was pretty good, but service was a little lacking. They dispense booze, but they charge over 4 bucks for a draught. For a place almost in canada, it was a little pricey.

This is the sort of pizza served years ago in Vt. Before good quality pizza arrived in Vt. Grossly over sauced with a bitterness not needed. Cheese likely more. Cheddar than mozzarella. The soda was good...

Love their "Outer Sprout" veggie sub and my son loves the pizza.

I eat "Pie in the Sky" pizza about once a week!! LOVE IT!!

This place is great. They have there own beer brewed by a local microbrewery. Their pizza is beyond the normal pepperoni. Try the St Albans, a white pizza with apple or the Pineapple Passion also real good.
